A large number of relevant issues were presented and discussed at the conference including: asset management levels of service, facilities contracts, earthquake prone buildings, and the impact of the new Asbestos regulation. All themes that many SPM clients throughout New Zealand and Australia are currently tackling.
As part of the activities Rotorua Lakes Council (an original SPM software customer) did a suburb job showing attendees around some of its unique buildings. This included a very interesting presentation on the historic Rotorua Museum - a Category 1 Heritage building and major tourist attraction, that now requires substantial strengthening work before it can re-open to the public.
A Las Vegas themed dinner added some fun to the overall conference.
An SPM Assets draw was held at the end of the conference and the winner was Julia Fincham from Ruapehu District Council who became the proud owner a new GoPro Hero 5 camera. Congratulations Again!
