During her 12 years with SPM Assets, Sarah Hayman-O’Reilly has risen through the ranks into a new Customer Success Manager - Australia and Sales Engineer role. This sees Sarah working alongside customers to ensure they get the most out of our software. Sarah also recently became Account Manager for one of our largest customers in Australia.

“I’m responsible for developing customer relationships to ensure our software and services are exceeding customers’ expectations and goals. With new customers, I lend technical expertise to our sales team group-wide. As for existing customers, I look at their goals for the year and work alongside them to make them happen,” says Sarah. “It’s all part of the service from SPM Assets – we’re here to support customers in meeting their goals, and finding innovative ways to do that.”

Sarah’s previous role as Product Owner involved working with the Software Development Team to prioritise the projects to go through to development. “I was the customers’ voice in the development process,” says Sarah, who was the Product Owner for all our applications including, Programs, SPM Assets’ Project Portfolio Management (PPM) software tool.

Prior to that, Sarah was the Scrum Master, working in the Software Development Team, and Software Support – the first port of call for software assistance. Her first role at SPM Assets was as Receptionist. “Within my first week, I was already building data models from building plans,” says Sarah.

This in-depth technical background, combined with her ability to champion the customer’s point of view, means that Sarah has the ideal skillset for her new role.

“If I had to describe the role in three words, it would be “achieving customers’ goals”. I really enjoy the problem solving aspect of this work – I thrive on finding a different way to do things to achieve the required outcome.”

When she’s not working, Sarah enjoys creating interesting food from different countries, and walking her dog.
