Sharing our experience with the next generation

The New Zealand business took its commitment to collaboration and leadership to a new level this month by contributing to training and professional development.  As founding director, Chris Jenkins, and Gerneral manager, David Long, delivered lectures at the University of Auckland and Auckland University of Technology.

The lectures were delivered to students reading an undergraduate Degree in Property Management, and a Masters Degree in Construction and Asset Management. Students were introduced to asset management in the context of the built environment, and explored the application of asset management principles to inform and influence organisational decision making.

The lectures also identified the specific knowledge and skills required to work within a property management environment. The courses provide students with an introduction to asset management and building surveying, and guided them through the professional and technical practices required for strategic property asset planning, building appraisal, and maintenance planning in a wide variety of property sectors.
